Fresh Orange Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. orange rind
    1 small can Mandarin oranges
    2 eggs
    1 c. juice from oranges and milk to equal 1 c.
Preparation
    Mix
    the
    shortening, orange rind, eggs, juice and milk until smooth.
    Add
    dry ingredients (not oranges).
    Mix well. Pour into a
    greased
    and
    floured
    13 x 9-inch pan.
    Arrange oranges on top.
    Bake for 40 to 45 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
