Calico Meringues - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/2 c. sugar
    pinch of cream of tartar
    3/4 c. plain M&M's type candy
Preparation
    Beat eggs and cream of tartar until foamy.
    Add sugar slowly and continue to beat until stiff.
    Fold in candy gently.
    Place on a greased and floured cookie sheet (even for Teflon).
    They do not spread, so may be placed close together.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
    Watch carefully so they do not darken.
