Red Cinnamon Pickle Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    15 extra large cucumbers
    2 c. pickling lime
    water
    1 c. white vinegar
    1 oz. red food coloring
    1 Tbsp. powdered alum
    2 c. white vinegar
    8 sticks cinnamon
    2 c. water
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. red cinnamon candies
    7 c. sugar
Preparation
    First day:
    Peel, core and slice cucumbers into 1/2-inch rings.
    Dissolve lime in enough water to cover rings.
    Stir occasionally.
    Cover with plate and weigh down.
    Soak 24 hours in cool place.
