Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. oleo
    4 large eggs
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 can coconut (Angel Flake)
    8 oz. chopped dates
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. buttermilk, mixed with 1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 lb. orange candy slices, cut into small pieces
Preparation
    Grease and flour 2 bread tins.
    In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except dry.
    Mix by hand well, then add the dry ingredients and last the coconut, chopped dates, chopped nuts and cut orange pieces.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 2 hours.
    In smaller pans, bake for 1 1/2 hours.
