Creamy Pimento Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
    2 c. (8 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
    1 (4 oz.) jar diced pimentos, drained
Preparation
    Combine cheese in large mixing bowl.
    Beat at medium speed with mixer.
    Add mayonnaise and a dash of garlic powder (optional).
    Mix well.
    Stir in pimentos.
    Serve at room temperature for best consistency.
    To store, cover and chill. Yield:
    4 1/2 cups.
