Cranberry Oatmeal Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. water
    1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
    3 c. quick cooking oatmeal
Preparation
    Beat shortening, sugars, eggs, water and vanilla together until creamy.
    Add sifted flour, salt and baking soda and stir well.
    Grease a large cookie sheet.
    Spread dough into cookie sheet pressing it to about 1/2 inch thick.
    Spread cranberry sauce over the dough within 1 inch of edges.
