Corn Or "Egg" Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. corn meal
    2 c. buttermilk
    3 Tbsp. flour (all-purpose)
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    2 Tbsp. bacon fat (for bottom of pan; optional)
    1 egg
Preparation
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
    During last 2 or 3 minutes, turn heat to broil to brown top of corn bread.
