Peach Cobbler No. 2 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 peaches (about 3 lb.)
    1 c. plus 1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/4 c. plus 3 Tbsp. flour
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    2/3 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Butter a 2-quart baking dish.
    Peel peaches and slice.
    Toss peaches with 1 cup of the sugar, lemon juice, nutmeg and 3 tablespoons of the flour.
    Put in baking dish.
