Bavarian Apple Torte - cooking recipe

1/2 c. margarine
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. apples, sliced
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. sliced almonds
Preparation

Mix the margarine, 1/3 cup sugar, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla and the flour until crumbly and pat into a 9-inch or 10-inch spring-form pan.
Raise edges about 1 1/2-inches.
Mix together the cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, the egg and vanilla; spread on pastry. Slice the apples and toss with 1/3 cup sugar and cinnamon.
Arrange over cream cheese mixture and top with the sliced almonds.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes and 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
