Filet Mignon In Wine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 (2-inch) filets
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. butter
    4 small onions, peeled and halved
    1 c. red wine
Preparation
    Rub filets with salt and pepper.
    Melt butter in heavy frying pan.
    Add steaks.
    Brown on both sides.
    Reduce heat to simmer. Add onions and wine.
    Cover skillet tightly.
    Simmer steaks 3 minutes.
