Low-Fat Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground turkey (or you can use 1/2 lb. ground chuck and 1/2 lb. ground turkey mixed together)
1 large onion
1/2 bell pepper
1 pkg. McCormick chili spice mix (this has the exact amount of spices for 1 lb. meat)
3 cans chili beans in sauce (I use Bush's)
1 small can tomato sauce or canned tomatoes
Preparation

Cook ground meat until brown and done.
Add onion and pepper and simmer.
Add chili spice and mix.
Stir and simmer.
Will need to add 1/2 cup water.
Add tomato sauce on tomatoes.
Stir well. Heat beans in large stew pan and add mixture.
Simmer for 30 minutes, covered.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Can serve over spaghetti; kids love it.
