Crunchy Sausage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. wild rice mix
    1 lb. sausage
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
    1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 (2 3/4 oz.) pkg. slivered almonds
Preparation
    Cook rice mix according to package directions and set aside. Cook sausage, ground beef and onion over medium heat, stirring to crumble.
    Drain off drippings.
    Add rice, mushrooms, water chestnuts and soy sauce.
    Stir well.
    Spoon into an ungreased 2-quart casserole dish.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
    Remove and allow to set at room temperature for 30 minutes.
    Sprinkle almonds.
    Bake, uncovered, at 325\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
