Yeast Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 or 6 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar plus 1 Tbsp.
1 c. shortening
2 pkg. dry yeast
2 1/2 c. or more buttermilk
2 or 3 Tbsp. warm water
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Cut in shortening.
Dissolve the yeast in the warm water with the tablespoon of sugar added first.
Let set to foam.
Add buttermilk and yeast mixture to dry ingredients; mix well.
Put on floured board.
Add more flour, if needed, to handle good.
Roll out, cut and then dip in melted margarine.
Let rise.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until done. (Different ovens vary in temperature.)
