Baked Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 baking apples
butter
sugar
nutmeg or cinnamon
pastry or biscuit dough
Preparation

Wash, core and peel apples.
Roll out dough squares large enough to cover apple.
Place apple in center of each square. Place a piece of butter, sugar and nutmeg or cinnamon in core. Pull corners of dough up on top. With wet fingers, press dough tightly together to cover apple.
Put a piece of butter and a little sugar on each dumpling.
More sugar and spices can be added, if desired, before dough is closed.
Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven until dumplings are brown.
