Miller'S Carrot Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. shredded carrots
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. celery, diced tiny
    1 c. raisins
    3/4 c. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Mix carrots with sugar and salt and let stand 1 hour.
    Place in large strainer.
    Add celery and raisins; let stand 30 minutes. Stir in mayonnaise.
    Let stand in strainer 20 minutes more so mayonnaise can drain.
    Serve in scoops on lettuce.
    Serves 6.
