Szechuan Cucumber Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large cucumbers (unpeeled)
    4 1/2 tsp. salt
    3 to 4 cloves garlic, sliced
    4 dried hot red peppers, chopped
    1/3 c. sesame oil
    1/2 c. rice vinegar or white vinegar
    1/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers, cut in half lengthwise and remove seeds.
    Cut cucumber halves into 1/2-inch slices.
    Place in a medium bowl. Sprinkle with salt and let stand about 4 hours.
    Squeeze liquid from cucumbers.
    Place cucumbers, garlic and red peppers in a serving dish.
