Cherry Cheese Pie - cooking recipe

3/4 c. all-purpose flour
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 can cherry pie filling
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Combine flour, sugar and salt. Add butter. Stir until combined. Press onto bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Pour pie filling into crust. In a mixing
bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla until smooth. Spread around outside edges of pie, leaving a 3-inch circle of cherries in the center. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Cool. Refrigerate for several hours before serving. Serves 8.
