Old Fashioned Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. granulated or brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    a little salt
    1 pt. rich cream
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Add cream and stir well.
    Pour into an unbaked shell.
    Dot with bits of butter and a little nutmeg.
    Bake in a moderate oven until filling is thick.
    Stir with a fork several times while the pie is baking to prevent settling.
