Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oats
1 stick margarine
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. each: cinnamon, soda and salt
Preparation

Mix boiling water and oats; let stand 20 minutes.
Cream margarine and sugar; add eggs and beat.
Add dry ingredients and mix well.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
While still warm, put topping on cake and return to oven to broil for 5 minutes.
