Oatmeal Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. oats
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water
    3 to 3 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oats, brown sugar and shortening.
    Let stand until lukewarm.
    Add beaten egg and the yeast dissolved in water.
    Then add the salt and flour.
    Mix together, then put out on counter and knead well.
    It may take more flour to knead well. Place in greased bowl, turning the lump over so top will be greased.
    Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.
    Make out in loaf or rolls.
    Cover and let rise again.
    Bake in 325\u00b0 oven for loaves or 375\u00b0 for rolls.
