Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    2 c. flour
    dash of salt
    2 tsp. soda
    6 Tbsp. buttermilk
    3 mashed bananas
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream
    the
    shortening\tand
    sugar.
    Add
    eggs one at a time. Sift the flour;
    measure.
    Add soda; sift 3 times.\tAdd to creamed mixture alternately with milk, bananas and nuts, if desired.
    Bake about 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
