    2 c. cranberries
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. almond extract
    3/4 c. soft butter
    5 lb. venison, boiled and chopped fine
    2 1/2 lb. pork, boiled and chopped fine
    1 peck apples, chopped fine (should measure twice the amount of meat)
    2 c. mixed candied fruit, chopped fine
    4 lb. seedless raisins
    2 lb. currants
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. fruit jam or jelly
    juice and grated rind of 1 lemon

    2 bowls cooked meat
    3 bowls apples

    1/2 bowl vinegar
    1/2 bowl molasses

    2 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. sugar

    1 tsp. baking soda
    few grains salt
    1 c. sour cream
    2 eggs
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 7/8 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. molasses
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 teacup lard
    3 eggs
    1 heaping tsp. cinnamon
    flour (to make a stiff dough)
    2 fairly heaping tsp. ginger
    4 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 heaping tsp. baking soda (stirred into vinegar) *
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Those were the entire original directions.
    More complete directions: Crisco instead of lard and measure flour about 5 1/2 to 6 cups.
    Cream Crisco and sugar.
    Beat in eggs.
    Add molasses. Mix cinnamon and ginger into 2 cups flour and add.
    (Note:
    Place vinegar in measuring cup and hold over mixing bowl while adding the baking soda; beat into mixture with remaining flour.)
