Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. squash, washed and cut in 1/2-inch slices
    1 medium onion, peeled and sliced
    2 beaten eggs
    1/2 stick butter, melted
    1 c. grated sharp cheese
    6 saltine crackers
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Place squash and onion in a saucepan.
    Cover in water barely. Cook until tender (about 15 minutes).
    Drain and mash (not too fine).
    In a shallow casserole dish, mix squash mixture with eggs, butter, cheese, salt and pepper.
    Top with a little more grated cheese, crushed crackers and dot with thin pieces of butter.
    Cook in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until brown and bubbly.
