Strawberry "Krispie" Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
    1 1/2 quarters butter
    1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. coconut
    3 c. Rice Krispies cereal
Preparation
    Soften vanilla ice cream.
    Melt butter.
    Add and dissolve brown sugar.
    Add coconut and cereal.
    Spread and pat half of mixture into bottom of 13 x 9-inch cake pan.
    Evenly distribute 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream into pan.
    Sprinkle remaining mixture on top.
    Freeze until ready to serve.
    Serve with thawed strawberries or fresh strawberries sweetened with sugar.
