Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 2/3 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. soda
2/3 c. shortening
1/3 c. buttermilk
1 1/4 c. mashed bananas (about 3 large)
1/3 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. unbeaten eggs (about 2)
2/3 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Mix well the first 5 ingredients.
Add the shortening, butter and bananas; beat for 2 minutes at medium speed.
Add the buttermilk and unbeaten eggs.
Beat 2 more minutes.
Fold in the chopped nuts.
Pour into prepared pans (2).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
