Twenty-Four Hour Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. shredded lettuce
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 lb. crisp fried crumbled bacon
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    1 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
    1 to 2 c. Swiss or Cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Layer the ingredients in order given.
    Spread mayonnaise, \"sealing\" to the edge of the bowl.
    Cover and chill 24 hours. This will keep several days if refrigerated and not stirred.
