Applesauce Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1 1/4 c. applesauce
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until light.
    Beat in egg.
    Stir together dry ingredients.
    Gradually add to creamed mixture.
    Beat applesauce into batter.
    Stir in raisins and nuts.
    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
    Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0. Cool in pan 10 minutes.
    Remove from pan.
    Cool on wire rack. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
    Makes 1 loaf.
