Devil'S Food Mommie Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 egg yolk
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. soft oleo
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook cocoa, egg yolk and 1 cup milk, stirring until smooth and thickened.
    Cream oleo and sugar; add eggs and beat well.
    Blend in cocoa mixture.
    Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with 1/2 cup milk.
    Beat until smooth.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour into two 9-inch layer pans, lined on bottom with waxed paper.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven about 25 minutes.
    Cool and frost as desired.
    Can be frozen.
