John'S Olde Timey Granola - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. wheat germ-Kretchmer's
    1 c. milk
    4 c. rolled oats - Quaker old-fashioned
3/4 c. sunflower nuts, roasted and unsalted
3/4 c. soy beans, roasted and unsalted
    3/4 c. Miller's bran
    1/2 c. sliced almonds
1/2 c. pecan pieces (halves are a little too big)
    1/2 c. soy bean oil
    1/2 c. honey (unfiltered)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped dates (buy them chopped)
Preparation
Mix together wheat germ and milk.
    Set aside.
Stir into the oats, nuts, soy beans, bran, almonds and pecan pieces the wheat germ and milk and then the following ingredients:
soy bean oil, honey, vanilla, allspice and nutmeg.
Pour mixture into well-Pammed 2-inch deep baking dish, 10 by 15-inch or two smaller ones and bake in moderate oven (I use 250\u00b0, but my oven may run a little hot) for about 1 hour and 20 minutes or until deep golden brown, thoroughly stirring at least twice to prevent some parts from overheating.
After cooling, mix in raisins and chopped dates.
