Divinity Candy(This Is Willie Mae Bridge'S) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    3/4 c. cold water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 egg whites
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar, syrup, water and salt in boiler.
    Let boil until it spins a thread from spoon to boiler.
    Have egg whites stiffly beaten.
    Take slowly boiling syrup out by spoonful, about half and beat into egg whites.
    Let other half cool slowly, a little longer (it will be harder).
    Pour into mixture.
    Beat until cool.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Continue to beat until creamy.
    Put out by small spoonfuls on wax paper.
