Cinnamon-Apple Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. minus 1 Tbsp. whole wheat flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    milk (just enough to moisten)
    1/2 c. safflower oil
    1 apple
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Beat egg and add to 1/2 cup milk.
    Cut oil into dry mixture.
    Reserve two tablespoons of this mixture and add egg mixture to dry ingredients.
    Stir only until moistened. Spread batter into an oiled 8-inch baking pan.
    Arrange apple slices on top and sprinkle with cinnamon.
    Bake in 375\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
