Mama'S Buttermilk Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    In a bowl combine the flour, baking powder, soda and salt; cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Stir in buttermilk.
    Knead dough gently.
    Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a biscuit cutter and place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
