Baked Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    11 slices bread, crusts removed
    4 c. diced, cooked chicken
    1 large can mushrooms
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced
    8 to 10 slices sharp cheese
    2 c. crushed potato chips or Pepperidge Farm dressing bread
    1/2 c. green pepper
    4 eggs
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 small jar pimento
Preparation
    Line 10 x 14-inch pan with the bread.
    Layer the chicken over the bread and add a layer of the mushrooms and water chestnuts. Dot with the green pepper.
    Spread the soup over the top of this. Add the pimento and lay the cheese over the top.
    Beat the eggs, add the milk and salt and pour over all.
