Potato Dumplings-Boiled - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 7 potatoes
    1 diced onion
    salt
    pepper
    1 egg
    1/4 c. flour
Preparation
    Peel potatoes and grate fine.
    Strain through clean cloth, squeezing fairly dry.
    Allow strained liquid to settle, then pour off liquid carefully until only the white potato starch remains. Add starch to grated potato which has been mixed with onion, egg, flour and salt and pepper to taste.
    Mix well.
    Shape into patties or balls.
    Drop into salted boiling water.
    Boil 1/2 hour.
    Remove from water and let drain.
