Pineapple Philly Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. white sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, room temperature
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. chopped nuts
    1 (10-inch) unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Cook first 3 ingredients together, stirring constantly until thick.
    Cool.
    Cream together cream cheese, sugar and salt; add eggs one at a time, beating after each.
    Add vanilla and milk. Put pineapple mixture in unbaked pie shell.
    Top with cheese mixture and sprinkle with nuts.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes; then at 325\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Inserted toothpicks should come out clean.
