Tin Plate Special - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. bag dry pinto beans
    6 lb. beef rump roast
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. banana pepper and green pepper, chopped
    2 sliced onions
    2 c. tomato juice
    1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. thyme
Preparation
    Wash beans. Cover with cold water and soak overnight. Bring beans to a boil and cook 1 hour. Drain and discard water. Brown roast in butter in a large Dutch oven. Add peppers and onions and cook until tender. Add beans and remaining ingredients. Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 3 hours or longer. Check at 3 hours to see if beans are tender and meat is done.
