Old South Chicken And Dumplings(100 Year Old Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 or 5 lb.) chicken
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. Crisco or shortening of your choice
    2/3 c. warm water
Preparation
    Cook chicken in boiling, salted water until tender.
    Remove chicken from broth; skin, debone and keep warm.
