Almond Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
2/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla (lemon may be used)
1 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
5 eggs
3 1/2 c. plain sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add flavorings.
Add eggs, one at a time and beat well.
Add alternately the measured flour and baking powder with milk beginning with flour mixture and ending with flour mixture.
Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 1/2 hours or until done in preheated 325\u00b0 oven.
