Pineapple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    yellow cake mix
    1 can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 c. sugar
    1 box vanilla pudding, prepared
    1 large container Cool Whip
    1 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Make cake according to box instructions.
    Boil pineapple with 1 cup sugar for 5 minutes.
    Punch holes in top of cake and spread pineapple on top.
    Make pudding and layer on top of pineapple. Cover with Cool Whip and sprinkle pecans on top.
