Caramel Nut Brownies - cooking recipe

14 oz. bag caramels
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 box German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. pecan pieces
Preparation

Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk and stir frequently.
Combine cake mix with melted butter and remaining milk.
Spread 2/3 cake mixture in greased 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 to 8 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle chips and nuts, then drizzle caramel sauce over that.
Top with remaining cake batter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes; cool before slicing.
