Molded Waldorf Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (11 oz.) can mandarin orange sections, undrained
    1 (8 oz.) can pineapple chunks, undrained
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon flavored gelatin
    1 c. boiling water
    1 medium apple, unpeeled and diced
    1 medium banana, sliced
    1/4 c. coarsely chopped pecans
    lettuce leaves
Preparation
    Drain fruit, reserving liquid; set aside.
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir in reserved fruit liquid and chill until the consistency of unbeaten egg white.
    Fold in next 3 ingredients. Pour into a lightly oiled 5-cup mold.
    Chill until firm.
    Unmold on lettuce leaves.
    Yields 8 servings.
