Pinto Beans(Lone Star Cafe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. pinto beans
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. cumin
    1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 gal. water
Preparation
    Cook over medium heat, stirring every 15 minutes.
    Cook until done, 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    If you prefer, as I do, soak overnight. You will use less than a gallon of water if you soak overnight. Cover beans well with water and cook as you always cook beans. Add seasonings after the beans are partially cooked.
