Deep-Dish Peach Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

10 to 12 ripe peaches, pared and sliced
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. almond extract
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/8 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

Combine all ingredients, except butter or margarine.
Let stand while making pie crust (one crust) or shortcake dough.
(Use Bisquick, to which sugar and cream are added to taste.)
Put fruit mixture into deep pie plate.
Dot with butter or margarine.
Place pastry or shortcake over peaches.
Bake in hot 425\u00b0 oven for 35 to 45 minutes.
Serve warm.
Use whipped topping or whipped cream as garnish, if desired.
