Maple Pecan Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. soda
    3 c. sugar
    6 eggs, separated
    1 c. butter
    1 c. sour cream
    2 tsp. maple flavoring
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Sift flour and soda three times.
    Separate yolks and whites of eggs.
    Cream butter and sugar well.
    Add egg yolks, one at a time, and beat well.
    Add flour and sour cream alternately, beginning and ending with flour.
    Add flavoring and nuts.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
