Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising cornmeal
    2 eggs
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/4 tsp. garlic salt
    1/3 c. bacon drippings
    3/4 c. milk
    1 small can cream-style corn
    3 or 4 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except cheese.
    Pour 1/2 the mixture into 12-inch greased pan or skillet.
    Sprinkle on cheese.
    Pour on remaining mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until brown.
