The Chef'S Gulf Coast Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. chopped onions
1 c. celery, finely chopped
2 to 4 green peppers, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 c. water
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cajun seasoning
2 bay leaves
1 lb. deveined shrimp
4 c. cooked rice
1/4 c. margarine
Preparation

Cook and stir onion, celery, green pepper and garlic in butter until onion is tender.
Remove from heat; stir in tomato sauce, water and seasonings.
Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
If mixture is too thick, add a little water.
Stir in shrimp.
Heat to boiling.
Cover and cook over medium heat about 20 minutes or until shrimp is pink and tender.
Serve over rice.
Yields 6 servings.
