Beasley'S Champion 1987 Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. unsifted flour, divided
    2 Tbsp. plus 1 c. sugar, divided
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 2/3 c. lard
    1 large egg, slightly beaten
    1 Tbsp. white vinegar
    1/2 c. ice water
    6 to 7 Jonathan apples
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 c. water
    5 to 6 thin slices butter
Preparation
    In a large bowl, stir together 4 cups unsifted flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, baking powder and salt, mixing well.
    Using a pastry blender, cut in lard until mixture is crumbly and particles are about the size of small peas.
    Stir together egg, vinegar and 7 tablespoons ice water; mix well.
    Pour egg mixture all at once into flour mixture.
    Stir with a fork until it begins to clump together. Add remaining 1 tablespoon water, if needed, to make dough clump.
