Hawaiian Supper - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 can (15 1/4 oz.) chunk pineapple in juice
1 Tbsp. vinegar
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
1/2 lb. cooked ham, thin strips
1/2 lb. uncooked chicken, thin strips
1 medium green pepper, cut in strips
2 Tbsp. sliced scallions (optional)
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 c. Minute rice
Preparation

Drain pineapple juice into measuring cup, add water to juice to make 1 1/2 cups.
Stir measured liquid, vinegar, brown sugar, cornstarch and salt in bowl.
Heat margarine in large skillet. Cook and stir ham, chicken, green pepper, scallions and garlic powder unti chicken is lightly browned.
Stir juice mixture to blend; pour into skillet.
Bring to a boil.
Stir in pineapple and rice; cover.
Remove from heat.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Fluff with fork.
