Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1-1/2 to 2 lb. meat (beef, venison, etc.) cut into strips
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1 onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    2 cans diced tomatoes with liquid
    1-2 green peppers, cut into strips
    1/2 c. cold water
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    cooked rice or chow mein noodles
Preparation
    Brown meat in oil.
    Combine next 9 ingredients, and add to meat.
    Simmer until onions and peppers soften.
    Combine the cold water and cornstarch to make a paste; stir into mixture, and cook until thickened.
    Serve over rice or noodles.
