No-Weep Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. water
    pinch of salt
    3 egg whites
    6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients well.
    Cook until clear.
    Beat egg whites until soft peaks.
    Add cooked mixture and continue beating. Add sugar gradually and beat until stiff peaks.
    Cover pie; seal edges and bake at 325\u00b0 until brown.
    I find this makes enough for 6 egg whites.
